History

Founded in 1994, Roppongi Japanese Restaurant is the result of one man’s quiet determination and lifelong devotion to his craft. Our founder, Mr So, a Cantonese immigrant armed only with a Chinese–English dictionary and an English–Japanese dictionary, taught himself the language, techniques, and spirit of Japanese cuisine. Through patience, discipline, and deep respect for tradition, he delivered outstanding Japanese food to the community for 32 years.Roppongi stands today as a tribute to his perseverance, skill, and belief that great food transcends language. We are proud to carry forward his legacy, serving each dish with the same care, humility, and heart.
